Coast Professional Solutions offers private, confidential consultations and other services, to families who want to improve their quality of life.

Consultations

Together with your Family Dynamics Counsellor, you'll discuss your child's behavioural difficulties in detail and determine a comfortable approach, to rid your life of these unwanted behaviours and bring out the aboslute best in your child. We then work together to come up with a detailed behavior plan that you put into place immediately. Over the next few weeks I work closely with you to ensure proper implementation of the Behaviour Management Plan and as your support for any "bumps in the road".

Every year, parents spend THOUSANDS of dollars on their child's clothing, food, leisure and education. Doesn't it seem worth it to invest in your family's overall well-being and more specifically, your child's emotional and social happiness? Give your kids a fighting chance.

Once we've met, CPS provides private consultation clients with a very high level of proactive support to ensure that everything is going smoothly. We will book several follow-up appointments at the end of our consultation meeting.

Private consultations are conducted in person OR can be conducted over the telephone. Many family situations make it difficult for parents to travel together to appointments so often we found that parents prefer to book a conference call from their respective spots (one or both may be at home or at work) The level of dedication and support is the same, whether we meet in person or by teleconference.

Included in your consultation are:

• An Evaluative Behaviour Assessment ~ a questionnaire about your child's character habits, difficulties and daily routine that you'll complete prior to our meeting. (When we have this information in advance, it helps us make the most of our time together.)
• A 1 - 1.5 hour Consultation Meeting ~ we'll discuss techniques, ideas, strategies and learn how to work with every area of concern.
• Your child's customized Behaviour Management Plan ~ includes a step-by-step plan for dealing with undesirable behaviours and all the challenges in the weeks ahead.
• Three weeks of follow-up telephone support ~ we'll set up times to talk every couple of days for the first few weeks so that you have the support you need to make the necessary changes in your lives.
• Three weeks of e-mail support ~ After the first few weeks, your child will either be fully onboard your new behaviour management program or at least well on their way. However, you can still get in touch with me via e-mail with any question or concerns.
• Access ~ to hundreds of resources about discipline, education, behavioural issues, child development, and much much more.

Consultations take place at our office or by teleconference, and they generally last anywhere between 1 and 1 1/2 hours.

Counselling

• INFORMAL FAMILY DYNAMICS COUNSELLING ~ A brainstorming consult in an informal, tête-à-tête setting, where you can bounce your thoughts and ideas and discuss techniques, strategies and philosophies for a smooth family dynamic. Have a heart to heart about scenarios and routines; pick an expert's brain for an hour. Through years of communication with hundreds of families, we'll be able to talk with you about a number of problem solving ideas and some innovative solutions, to every day family issues. Speak to a counsellor in a one-on-one private discussion, where you lead the direction of conversation.
  Service Fee: $ 185.00 plus gst

Childhood Behaviour Expert

• UNLIMITED EMAIL ACCESS ~ For a small, one time fee you will be provided with unlimited access to a Child Behaviour specialist. No questions asked; we're here to help in any way we can. We will guide you through strategies, ideas and techniques to assist in the improvement of your family's quality of life. You will have open communication and unlimited contact with the same counsellor for as long as you need them.
  Service Fee: $ 90.00 plus gst
  

IT'S EASY to read a book, find resources online or discuss common childhood stages and behavioural issues with family and friends. The difficulty lies in applying those suggestions or ideas to your situation. Every family, and more importantly every child is unique and, at the very least deserves to have their parents, teachers, etc. recognize and work with their character and personality.

I have many years of experience (and have worked with more than three hundred families) so I've seen just about everything; from shy timid pre-adolescents who lack the self esteem to bring themselves to what we know is their full potential....to the 2 year old bully whose parents are apt to getting daily concerned eyebrows from pre-school teachers or peers.

The key is to work together with someone who will look at your family dynamic as a whole, and your child, as an individual. Live the life you deserve to, and live it well.
